Visiting Farnsfield & Southwell

Outside there is a garden with a spacious decking area and room for BBQs etc. Bikes can be stored too.

 

In the village there are a variety of shops including a Co-op, butcher, bakery, greengrocer, and a lovely Home Interiors shop, Bramley and White –much of the décor was inspired and created in partnership with them.

There are two friendly pubs which serve delicious meals at competitive prices and a new Pizzeria which uses a stone oven. There is a Chinese takeaway and also a lovely cafe which serves delicious breakfasts, homemade cakes and hosts Tapas evenings once a month.

There is a beautiful old church and there are often events on at the local Cricket and Tennis clubs as well the Southwell folk festival in the summer.

 

The Southwell Trail is just a stone's throw away and the whole area is very popular with dog walkers and cyclists. Many other sporting and musical events take place at nearby venues in Sherwood Forest, such as Rufford Abbey, Clumber Park and Sherwood Pines.
